Team & settings
Settings is where you shape your organisation, bring colleagues in, and manage your own account. It has three areas: Organisation, Team, and Account.
Organisation
Section titled “Organisation”Your company profile:
- Company name and details.
- Logo upload — your logo appears on generated policy PDFs and reports.
- Owner‑only admin tools for managing the organisation.
Team — inviting colleagues and roles
Section titled “Team — inviting colleagues and roles”Invite the people who’ll actually use the platform (distinct from your staff directory, which lists everyone in your organisation):
- Go to Settings → Team.
- Choose Invite and enter a colleague’s email.
- Assign a role:
| Role | Can do |
|---|---|
| Admin | Full access, including settings and team management |
| Security Lead | Day‑to‑day security and compliance work |
| Viewer | Read‑only visibility |
Invitees receive a link to join. Give people the least privilege they need — most users are Security Lead or Viewer, with Admin reserved for those who manage the account.
Account
Section titled “Account”Manage your own profile and sign‑in details here.
In development: some account self‑service options are still being added. If you can’t find a setting you need, contact support@786cyber.net.
Why it matters
Section titled “Why it matters”For everyday security: role‑based access means people see only what they should, and the least‑privilege principle limits the damage if any one account is compromised.
For compliance: defined roles and access levels evidence access control and separation of duties; an accurate organisation profile and logo also make your generated policy and report artefacts look professional and audit‑ready.
