Getting started

This page takes you from “never seen 786 Cyber” to signed in and ready to work — in a few minutes, with no credit card.

Create your account

1. Go to the marketing site at 786cyber.com and choose Start free trial (or Get a quote if you’d like to talk to us first).
2. Enter your mobile number and confirm the one‑time passcode (OTP) we text you.
3. Verify your email using the link we send.
4. Add your details and company — this creates your organisation.
5. Add your billing details — billing country (required, as it determines VAT treatment), address, and, if you have them, your company registration number and VAT ID. No card is taken at this point.
6. You’re in. The first screen is your Overview.

No card required. A 14‑day free trial starts automatically with full access to the platform.

Joining an existing organisation? If a colleague invited you, you skip both the phone verification and the company setup — accept the invitation and you land straight in their organisation. See Team & settings.

Signing in

You can sign in three ways:

• Email and password
• Google
• Microsoft (Microsoft 365)

If you are creating a new organisation, the first time you use Google or Microsoft sign‑in you’ll still complete the phone verification step once. After that, sign‑in is one click. Colleagues joining by invitation do not need to verify a phone number at all.

Tip for Microsoft 365 organisations: signing in with Microsoft also makes it easy to sync your staff directory and device data later — see People directory and Assets.

Your free trial

• The trial runs for 14 days with full platform access.
• A banner at the top of the app shows how many days remain. It turns amber in the last 5 days as a reminder.
• When the trial ends you’ll be prompted to continue on a paid plan. Nothing is charged automatically during the trial.
• You can look at plans and pricing at any time — the banner links to them, and Settings → Plan & billing is always available.

Finding your way around

• The app lives at 786cyber.com/platform.

• A persistent side navigation is your main way around, grouped by pillar with an icon and label for each section. Click the 786 Cyber logo at any time to return to your Overview. The top‑level items are:

  Environment & People, Policy & Process, Technology & Threats and Settings each expand to show their sub‑pages directly in the nav, so you can jump straight to (for example) Assets or the Policy Vault without going through the parent dashboard first.

• Each section carries a small Docs link in its header that opens the matching page of this guide.

• On the right of the top bar: your organisation logo (once you’ve uploaded one), a light/dark mode toggle (the platform remembers your choice), your email address, and Sign out.

• On a phone or small screen the side nav collapses into a menu button.

• A few screens are reached from within a dashboard rather than from the nav itself — the full‑screen map from Environment & People, the evidence vault from Compliance, and Plan & billing from Settings. Each is signposted where you need it.

A sensible first‑run order

If you’re not sure where to begin, this order gets you value fastest:

1. Add your people — sync from Microsoft 365 or import a CSV. See People directory.
2. Add your assets — devices, domains, cloud and software. See Assets. To scan a cloud account, connect it in one click with Launch Stack: open the account in your Asset Directory and use its Cloud Security (CSPM) panel.
3. Run your first assessment — pick a framework and answer the wizard. See Compliance.
4. Review your Overview — act on the prioritised to‑do list. See Overview.

Each step stands on its own, so you can stop at any point and still have something useful.
